    Looks like that event was located near all of these turbines, so not necessarily an area with higher snowfall rates, but because the turbines can trigger help trigger lightning in winter precipitation events.

    View from the western rim of Kīlauea Caldera. Lava is erupting from a fissure in the NW wall of Halemaʻumaʻu crater and cascading into the deepest part of the crater, which had been occupied by a water lake (now replaced with a growing lava lake).

    Dawn arrives at 's summit, where scientists are monitoring the new eruption within Kīlauea caldera. Since Dec 20 (~9:30 pm), 3 fissure vents on the wall crater have fed lava into a growing lava lake.
