    Some of the things I heard during the discussion of why he should be promoted despite the allegations against him <1/2>: 1. That is her version, have you heard his? I have 2. I have never had any problems with him 3. Some other faculty members are much worse 4. Nobody is perfect

    the worst part about the take that theory should ONLY be easy to read is that (1) yes, there is an accessibility problem in academia but (2) the accessibility has less to do with what is required to articulate complex args more than it is about the lack of resources to unpack it

    Mira la peña crítica la academia. Y yo lo entiendo es un cáncer la academia. Pero peores son los artículos de opinión en medios masivos. Cuando el pensamiento de un autor se reduce a la academia malo, pero cuando se reduce a artículos de opinión es muchísimo peor.

    Me da la impresión de que las personas que se enojan por cualquier cosa no aceptan que se enojan por cualquier cosa porque, prácticamente, estar enojadas se vuelve un estado afectivo permanente. Al parecer, en realidad, no pueden ver la diferencia.

    We need a science that is more reflective and rigorous, not more bureaucratic. Transparent, careful theorizing instead of checklists, deliberate modeling decisions and accountability instead of relying on heuristics.
