…because the dad of one my kid’s good friends shoots for Reuters. As parents of small kids know, you spend a ton of time with other parents, so i started paying more attention. You prob don’t know this guy (Brendan McDermid) but you’ve def seen his work. 2

This is stunning, carefully observed work, with an eye for composition and detail. It tells a story. Even if you never read these Nassar stories and only knew it through his work, which i suspect is true of many, you would know what is going on.
It’s tough times for journalists, but maybe tougher for photojournalists when everyone has a camera. But a random person with a smart phone could not produce this body of work. It’s clearly that of a professional at the top of their game. That’s all.
