Detailed thread on how Kerala is on top of the crisis, while at the same time making sure people are informed. Even more impressive, ensuring mental health of the people under observation & others are not ignored.

Got takeout from Oota, Windmills last night. Food came nicely packed, no plastics. Even for curries! Food was great too!

Was so glad to read this story in Blood stem cell registrations are really low among the South Asian community, & finding a match is tough. Personally know of cancer patients who struggled. Sign up folks!

Good & clear info from the Health Dept. Will build trust, people will know they can rely on the Govt to give them the right info. No rumours. No panic. Masterclass in pandemic & health communication right here.

What the labels on your beauty products mean. A thread: Do you look for a ‘Cruelty Free’ label on moisturiser/lip balm? Save yourself the hassle. India banned animal testing for cosmetics in 2013. Everything on the beauty shelf, local or imported, is cruelty-free by default. 1/n

I witnessed another Edmonton Transit incident this morning. This time I took action. First off: I am in no position to be saying if someone is indigenous unless they tell me so. However, from my limited knowledge, the young man that I helped seemed to be indigenous.

Satya at Microsoft, Sundar at Google, and now Arvind at IBM -- tech giants run by Indians, all fighting for larger pieces of cloud computing from Amazon. Somebody should write a book about these guys and call it Meghaduta... 😎

Reposting from my IG. A personal big news (for me). I got my passport done finally! Would be going out of India for the first time. What’s more precious to me is how my family responded to it ♥️. They felt like I got an award.

Was discussing this messaging strategy with colleague. They are seeding these inflammatory thoughts with the larger public. Slowly but surely.

"I (a Dalit) make the mridangam holding it between my feet, but the instrument is allowed into your puja room, and I am not." The dichotomy we see everyday & ignore. Now that it is being peeled away, change will hopefully cometh.

The greatest trick that Nithyananda the devil ever pulled is to make people believe that he is some sort of a joke to laugh at. IMO, it's a carefully constructed identity. He is accused of rape, sexual harassment and his ashram is loaded with torture allegations.

Joaquin Phoenix. Wow! “I think we truly have to do the hard work to understand systemic racism. I think that it is the obligation of the people that have created, perpetuated and benefit from a system of oppression to dismantle it, so that’s on us.”
