  3. I’m leaving the program deep “in my bag” (a phrase the students taught me) as they really all stole my heart. I’m only a few years older than them, but I’m leaving refreshed, empowered, and ready. We, the young people, stay winning.

  4. We had students w extremely diverse lived experiences — some even who support Trump. We focused on identity, activism, global affairs, public speaking, leadership, & how we can shape a better tmw. 100% students gave us a 5/5 on the anonymous exit survey. It can be done.

  5. As the Executive Director, it was my priority to make the program as impactful, accessible, and worthwhile as possible. We had a third of kids on financial aid, the majority of our students of color, and the majority of our speakers trailblazing women of color. It can be done.
