    "Counting by 7s", by Holly Goldberg Sloan and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time", by Mark Haddon are the only books I've seen that have split covers. Both books also feature main characters on the autism spectrum. Coincidence? Or is the half-cover a reference?

    39. Tomato soup cake?! As Clarissa Hyman reports in "Tomato: A Global History", canned tomato soup became the secret ingredient in a staggeringly large number of recipes.... including this flavourful spicy cake. Campbell's themselves published a recipe:

    36. These trees grow 40 types of fruit at the same time! Artist Sam Van Aken created "trees of 40 fruit", using grafting, to showcase fruit cultivars that were lost with the advent of supermarkets. More than 100 of these trees are planted across the US:

    35. A "Boysenberry" is a cross of raspberry, blackberry, dewberry, and loganberry, first cultivated by Rudolph Boysen. In the 1930s, Walter Knott's farm became famous for boysenberries. Yes, *that* Knott's Berry Farm. That's how the amusement park started.

    34. Vegetables can make their own antifreeze! In cold weather, spinach, kale, and some lettuce start producing extra sugar. This protects the plant from freezing. As a bonus, the sugar makes them taste better after a frost! The Guardian has more info:
