It seems obvious FB controls how people use FB - they make it! They have all these tools, and information!. But that’s exactly the same error. Like fashion, social reflects what came before, and how we want to feel. And FB & fashion can only try to capture & channel that. 2/3

Google and Facebook do ads to fund the product. Not the other way around. That’s the worst misconception of all. The whole attitude was always that if the product was good the value would follow. Ask Zynga.

Then make Facebook a subscription photo album and phone book. The product invested in was never the tool. But the people using it thinking it was a bargain. ;)
