Don’t invite professional grifters to give deliberately incendiary, idea-free, and horrible talks isn’t a threat to free speech. I otherwise absolutely think a full range of speakers should be heard. Not every grifter deserves an invite though.

Who decides? That’s the problem. Eg Summers was just accused of being a fascist, which is just odd. But again, I’d say the larger problem is that overall the colleges (and HS) are squelching the dialog that normally happens w kids that age.

Suggest visit a HS or college campus & ask. I was at a forum recently & was surprised when a student spontaneously expressed anxiety that he felt there were a lot of things he couldn't say - and many others then chimed in. Those 'small numbers' plus sensitivity training plus...
