The US has plenty of underemployed and capable people who would love a career in teaching - if it paid decently and had reasonable hours. A big hurdle is getting them back in labor force, which a federal job garauntee could do.

Ronald McDonald already teaches "health" & "nutrition" in many schools. Maybe he can add digital literacy and critical thinking to his "curriculum". When it fails to work we can then blame the teachers & parents.

Apart from the sound observation that tech companies are part of what is destroying education, education is not enough. That is why we have FDA, OSHA, etc. We also need light: we need access to the social data FB, Google etc. collect from us.
