Not a Pixelbook but have a Pixel 2 LS and love it. Seriously one of the best laptops I've ever used

(I have it in developer mode and do some Linuxy things on it but most of the time I just use it as an absolutely gorgeous web browser)

You could hijack the disk writing interrupt (13h? 21h? One is the BIOS one) and write between the sectors and wheee have otherwise unreadable code lurking! The abstraction is obviously super useful, but the materiality of all this is ... central. Not to be forgotten.

That's ok! In a couple of months that price point won't seem so high, and small cosmetic changes will even allow price hikes. To get a truly great product, one that some can't afford, you have to pay a little more. (not really kidding)
