I disagree about Gmail. Either Fastmail or Protonmail are better options for people interested in security.

My problem with that is the false sense of security... Email isn't secure. Email (running on a browser!!!) isn't really possible to secure like that, and Protonmail oversells things a bit. Gmail, as long as you are aware of exposure to Google risk, is pretty secure as things go.
