Look, I understand the hypocrisy charges/angle but widespread mocking of a person for an adult, consensual relationship is also a kind of hypocrisy. Rights are rights, dignity is dignity. They can't be selectively defended.

Agreed with you up to this point. I can denounce the revenge-porn disclosure and still, with a clear conscience, mock Barton's hypocrisy just as if his adultery had come to light sans nude photo.

I think once subjected to revenge porn like this, he is much more a victim than a hypocrite, and first line is defending rights and dignity—which apply to everyone. If he voted to make infidelity a crime, etc. maybe there is a discussion?
