Saying that Facebook controls what’s in the newsfeed is really no more correct than saying Google controls what’s in search results.

And I'm arguing that if they were indeed your customers, there would be a wide range of tools and options available that just aren't.

atm, the company is young, under founder control, so a lot of well-meaning tweaking happens. But the structure is not user as customer.
