Is the argument there are non-negligible no of elderly warehouse workers thinking: "pain and poverty, but wow, I can innovate for Amazon?"

I doubt it. Elderly can't innovate for AZ bc they're not allowed to, bc they are 'too Senior,' to use HR parlance + AZ 'innovation' culture is focused on younger. Due to that at AZ and in other places, seniors take what they can get, which, unfortunately is grueling WH work.
