The sticking point with these security rules is account recovery. Read and understand them. There is no trade-off free way to security.

"Advanced protection" is not just security key; it's that plus other high-security stuff for at-risk people. You can also just use key.

There are downsides, though. For example, it limits what third party apps you can use (That's why I don't have it enabled).

TBQH, I don't think advanced protection is very useful to everyday users for this reason. As much as I'd like requiring 2FA on every login
