Money does matters, but for building that grassroots organization and infrastructure. Dems almost never fund that—not even after 2016.

When I point this all out, that Tea Party, NRA, etc. actually have strong grassroots. People scoff in disbelief. Well, here we are.

Repubs have almost all state-legislatures, House+Senate, Presidency, 34 governors. Money mediates mostly as electoral infrastructure funds.

What about gerrymandering & voter suppression? An organized party notices this and manages 1-turnout at mid-terms; 2-organizing to overcome.

While digital tools have real use, their power in fueling marches, rallies etc. is blinding people to weaknesses of lack of infrastructure.
