Opposing racism is a moral duty and a political must; but the way to be effective about it is taking econ issues seriously. Not either/or.

I've argued this before the election; in response people made economic anxiety "jokes". I'd say life hasn't gotten better for minorities.

The messy truth is political realignment—like the one Trump ushered in—means a reconfiguration. Can only oppose it with a reconfiguration.

A reconfiguration is not "be less anti-racist". Opposite. It is: center anti-racism in a new configuration that incorporates social class.

I'd venture that much like heat is elemental to the formation of hurricanes (& tornadoes), economic distress is a root element of prejudice.
