Shiting on the floor in the way out?

Pivotal moment in demonstrating what the excess power concentrated in giant, monopolistic tech co means. Even mere criticism not tolerated.
Would it be too cynical to read that as saying "We regret Barry's failure to support our face-saving PR line?"

apparently troubling decision, but worth noting that Barry Lynn is erroneously conflating Google's position with that of a network monopoly.
"And Barry is an asshole who doesn't work and play well with others, so WATCH OUT other think tanks."
Sounds like we're supposed to believe the timing of the firing and interaction with Google are a freak coincidence...hard to believe
