Dems are riding a wave of admin incompetence/missteps. If you don't build or fund infrastructure and bring in grassroots, that won't last.
Which is not what I am doing. Skocpol is right: on the left, muscles of democracy have atrophied at the local level.

They do know how to do the big national campaign which is fine for presidential elections with the right candidate. But then that fails too.

You need to build back up the missing parts of the stool if there is to be a chance. 2018 election is next and it will play locally.

Skocpol is the problem. It's not a local organizing issue, it's a vision issue.

Local organizations have the vision. They need the money and infrastructure to network it with other orgs and push it out.

I'm done knocking on doors for candidates and consultants that don't understand positioning and can't cut an ad or write a subject line

Local matters, but it's not all of it. I'm wishing more Dean era folks had turned pro and stuck with it. Media is how vision gets defined.
