Adding the phone number would make the account less secure. Let people with authenticator or U2F key be. Business model tripping security.

Twitter's set up is not at all good. Facebook is much better: can add security key, take off phone number. Should just let that be.

I removed my phone no. from Facebook after enabling 2FA (with code generator) & it *disabled* 2FA. Is that intended behaviour Alex? Anyone?

Also, giving phone number does not work because I didn't receive texts & was not able to activate it.
