blaming users for security problems is never correct... always blame the design first.
Pointing out that it is noticably weird and "blaming users" are two different things.
It is a warning, it's telling you exactly what it's going to do. Their only failure is not protecting app names.
Docs asking for access to your email is not normal workflow. Ever seen Word ask for access to Outlook? That wouldn't be a red flag to you?
I have seen so many programs ask for access to so many things that if you have the finite catalog one can check against, please do share.
