I believe phone calls are headed that way. They no longer convey the same level of underlying capacity phone calls did 10-20 years ago.

Tea Party is a very successful movement. It had a real grassroots—and it was smart, strategic. But it also got funded. "Resistance"? Not so.

I'm not sure the comparison of the Tea Party & this one funding campaign is apt. There's a lot of campaign funding already happening.

If I'm doing the numbers correctly, I disagree. Dems spent ~$1M per house seat in 2015/2016 (although that's brought down by some 0s)
