For Google, go: https://myaccount.google.com/secureaccount Check linked computers are all yours. Then revoke all apps you don't want. Check their permissions.

Remember how unroll.me was selling your data? Be very very very suspicious of anything you are giving read/write permission to your emails.

For Twitter, go here: https://twitter.com/settings/applications … Revoke generously. I especially never let any app have DM access unless it's Twitter itself.

More complicated for Facebook (I basically don't authorize any apps there so hard for me to check). Check here. https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications …

Don't permit apps to read your email, Twitter DMs or FB posts/friends unless you trust their business model. It may be selling your info!

Remember the adage that if you are not paying for it, you're the product? If a free service wants to read your info, be super suspicious.

Also, when possible, activate two factor authentication. Use a security key, and authenticator apps as backup. Delete SMS as second factor.
