A half-a-trillion market cap company can and should do a lot more staff. If you don't have staff, don't launch the service.

There are lots of things that can be done, but should not be done if we don't know how to do it without major harm...

I think you and I would stand united against calling for infrastructure to censor & chill speech, but it's OK to chill/censor

Maybe you can help me understand how you are _not_ actually calling for Facebook to involve itself in blocking & censoring content?

It should absolutely block live streaming of suicides and murders—if you don't, you will inspire a lot of copycats. That's not "censorship"

question is: once you have enough people to manage this effectively, how do you keep their politics from influencing what else gets censored

Again, this can all be figured out; and if not, don't launch the product. Not everything has to be unleashed with no brakes.

So you're in favour of censorship and centralised control over content, so long as it's balanced, right, fair and just?

There's already censorship & central control over content. I would disband some forms of it. But hell yeah, I'd block live stream of murder.

So would I, but I wouldn't block creation or deployment of 1.8bn people's ability to livecast, in order to hamper a handful of sick people.

And I speak as the fmr architect for FB Messenger E2E, who was told "But Terrorists Will Use This!", yet we launched it for the greater good
