      Also, a kindle e-reader has a 750 mAh battery. An iPhone 7s Plus has a 2900 mAh battery. The former is banned, the latter is not.

          AFAIK, no US airline flies direct to the banned airports. Reporting has been misleading & theories on competition need to be about transit.

          There is an enormous amount of transit travel that goes through those hubs; US flights to those final destinations usually use Europe hubs.
