Many people don't like to hear this, but the scenarios that don't involve significant electoral shifts are unlikely to succeed.
Periods after big protests are often marked with unrealistic expectations. Protests are great; they are energizing. They spark organizing.
Many deus ex machina expectations floating around; almost all of them require somehow GOP legislators act in very unexpected ways.
Maybe something truly unexpected and historically anomalous will happen--weird times anyway--but strains credibility for me.
So it'll likely come down to what it often comes down to: is there political will + energy for sustained, strategic, widespread organizing?
Sorry that it's a boring answer but I find unrealistic expectations misleading the way dismissing Trump's political strength was misleading.
