People laugh but... media's coverage of WL's CIA cache was as accurate as Conway's microwave comments. Me, ICYMI: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/09/opinion/the-truth-about-the-wikileaks-cia-cache.html …https://twitter.com/BraddJaffy/status/841249846120075265 …

Unless I missed something, they couldn't "watch" you through a device with no camera.

Neither was it revealed that CIA has some remote exploit to turn Samsung TV's into mass surveillance devices.

Right, but smart TVs have microphones specifically for voice UI. That could be easily tapped into. A standard microwave has none.

The leak that got covered as "CIA listens to you in your home" required breaking into your home and inserting a USB. Not impressed.

Microwaves aren't cameras; and needing to insert USB sticks into televisions one by one isn't remote mass surveillance capability.

Maybe they do. The leak showed the opposite. It was hacking devices one by one.

See? The CIA leak showed a very specific set of capabilities; your speculations may or may not be correct. Leak showed opposite.
