I think that’s probably the better direction. Switches are error prone and hard to use. PGP.

Why is a switch hard to use? No objection to secure enclave to couple light and camera in addition.

It’s hard to use because it’s easy to forget. Anything I have to remember *every time* is going to get screwed up.

I think it’s fine as an expert option, but switches have big UX downside, so IMO bad overall.

I'm not sure I agree it's an expert option. For example, see the huge number of people (not in tech) who cover cameras.

A cover actually has much better UX than a switch. It’s on/off status is right in your face all the time.

Nonetheless, very few people use them as a %. Would be surprised if it was more than 1%.

Again, I’m not saying it’s useless. PGP isn’t useless either. It’s just not a reliable approach for most people.
