That’s just corporate income taxes. There are also sales, VAT, employment, etc. taxes, plus income taxes on distributed profits.

Your broader point is right, but corporate income taxes can’t be looked at in isolation. They’re part of a larger taxation system.

Married to a tax lawyer. Can't quite explain all of this, but our corporate taxes are actually pretty high compared with elsewhere.
