      Detainees are the handful who were in the air when order was signed. Many legal permanent residents won't be allowed on planes, now trapped.

      These are legal immigrants. Already evaluated case by case. Passed all the checks. They're all trapped now; either inside or outside the US.

      People without green cards or visas already not allowed on planes to US. Everyone trapped now by this order had. legal. visas. of some kind.

      Worried most for people came to US because fleeing extremists. They may not have visas to stay where they're trapped.Will they be sent back?

      The international system works that way. If you can't stay where you are, sent to country of your nationality, even if you had fled them.

      There may now be Iranian dissidents who are US legal residents who are now trapped in third countries who may get deported back to... Iran.

          some don't want to lose citizenship BC they travel back to country of origin to visit parents/grandparents/siblings.

          Even after the handful of detainee cases get resolved, many legal immigrants, permanent residents, students will be.. in dangerous limbo.
