Though reporters are being increasingly asked to do their own social media promotion of stories, so may be some movement on this.

this was always sort of an excuse we reporters use. (Or is on the internet. Print headlines are written very late.)

Given how info travels, especially with mobile stream reading, headline writing has to be fixed, reconfigured.
