Twitter has threading, which encourages posting string of point, *and* quote-tweeting which encourages snarking on out-of context tweets.

It could well be that what you see as a bug, they see as a feature. Quoting starts a new convo. It's a branch-off point.

Maybe but it should give people options: don't let this/any tweet be quoted; put quotes in threads, etc.
