peer reviewed articles claim all types of nonsense& PR can be unnecessarily nasty.. Evidence for CC is long scientific record.
What you are pointing out is that the system has weaknesses—and actual scientists showing great concern over weaknesses.
What I'm pointing out is people across political spectrum twisting that to: it's *all* capricious; just mean girls, charlatans.
the long "scientific record" you cite centers on the iterative, imperfect but very real process of peer review.
I agree with that, but I'd argue the resilience comes from post-pub (peer) review much more than the 2-3 revs before publication.
All of it! Science is a process—under attack now because it is still dedicated to facts, truth and criticism. What I object is+
people who don't understand the process—or who want to deliberately destroy it all—mischaracterizing what the issues are.
