Not sure that's true in the end, we'll have to see. Fewer voted, yes. But Trump won primarily on fear and bigotry.

Hey I agree on the issue. But Trump demagogued it, and many white people responded to rank bigotry. We can't ignore it.

I know sometimes you have to accept it. FDR accepted Jim Crow to pass the New Deal and win WW2. But it ain't great.

Wrong. The "great compression" as it was called was very good to a large number of (mostly but not solely white) people.

Agree we need to reach out to some but it'll be a hard sell to POC in the D coalition. They justifiably feel threatened.

Protecting people of color is obviously first priority. (Very few) refugees in US are worried of being sent back.
