Twitter reply changes breaking threading? Quoting tweet already breaks it. Twitter's core product is con-ver-sa-tion—gets the least support.

I believe I used to be able to reply to another person and still be threaded to that conversation. Now it's broken. Where is headdesk emoji?

Twitter is attractive if it supports conversation—participating or watching. Harassment harms freedom of assembly, i.e. kills conversation.

Conversation tools like threading, sane way for replies to work (to manage visibility), managing one's own attention are all underpowered.

Yes ridiculous. Block/mute a needless two screens when it used to be one. Four clicks. Utterly incomprehensible why. https://twitter.com/isaacwmiller/status/793074150550241280 …

You have to individually mute people—gazillion clicks—and remember to later unmute if had friends in chain. INSANE. https://twitter.com/BlairReeves/status/793075904247398400 …
