Issue for Facebook is that content takedowns based on FB TOS and poor moderation are viewed as state-censorship, hence distrust.

Facebook takes down random Kurdish page. (It's because page got reported; some moderator overreacted, etc. I KNOW how it goes).

In Turkey, interpretation: "Facebook is cooperating with the Turkish state!" That effects how people trust Facebook in general.
