BTW: we should improve voting COMPUTER security but voting by computer not a good idea. Many countries do paper ballots with quick results.

slot machines do not have to verify you and only you played once. Anonymity + Single vote per person near impossible to verify

I think it's possible and desirable to set up a paper system; but you could even do digicash like schemes to got some of the way.
