We need a nationwide moratorium on traffic stops for minor infractions until we figure out how to fix them and to de-escalate this moment.

Somebody has a broken taillight? Mail them a warning. Police should not stop drivers for anything short of dangerous speeding till... later.

Most of these infractions is stuff that poses no danger; did not signal, etc. It's already wrong to fund counties via tickets. Let's stop.

Red light cameras that mail tickets cut down on fatal traffic accidents—though they increase fender benders. Mail tickets. Don't stop folks.
