And at times, bizarre groups and outsiders join harassment campaigns just for the "lulz." It's a thorny problem.

I study this stuff, and often try to asses scale. I often find that the scale of source and reporting totally mismatched.

But of course it is real & horrible to the target. (I've been targeted occasionally). Still doesn't mean the source is huge.
