"Your supporters are sending me death/rape threats." I believe that in many high attention cases, it's trolls on standby who are jumping in.

I now believe that much of rain of "death/rape threats" within a political fight are a small number of outside troublemakers. For the lulz.

Remember, it doesn't take that many troubled people--on a platform of millions--to create the appearance of avalanche of death/rape threats.

So, Twitter can help, but not with real threats of injury/assault. It should make it much easier to block/mute a coordinated attack.

Block/mute harassment? Yep. If someone *calls* for mass harassment, sure, ban them. But if small number kicking up dust? Ignore & move on.

Twitter should step up helping mute/block coordinated harrasment campaigns. But often it's not just supporters of your "political opponent."
