In Lebanon, refugee families get only $13.50 per month for food because World Food Program is out of money. Of course they try to flee.

Turkey, Jordan & Lebanon took in millions fleeing Syria. Ignored. Money ran out to feed them. Ignored. They flee. Oops, let's build a wall.

Refugee crises are difficult problems. But this level of mismanagement and miserliness is very frustrating. This isn't World War II. /aaargh

According to survivors, there may have been another 15 who did drown, including pregnant women. I hear such a story almost every day now.

The baby survived, but still in hospital since he had severe hypothermia. Poor kid. His mother is also alive and by his side.
