@FESMontemaggi US should do much more. Many Europeans are helping refugees. But I believe European racism undercurrent has long been strong.

@FESMontemaggi Europe doesn't map onto US race relations. I occasionally get treated like vermin in Europe—no reason besides being Turkish.

@FESMontemaggi My experiences? Span from West to East Europe. The latter is too long for Twitter. Colonial past vs settler/slavery past etc.
