Much concern over sharing pictures of victims. They are difficult. Relatives, though, often want them shown widely, in service of change.
Those two boys are one of hundreds, maybe thousands, maybe tens of thousands who died seeking refuge. It's not an isolated event.
The devastated survivors know it's not an isolated incident. Parents often hope to extend protection to other kids, kids just like theirs.
Core ethical question isn't about one picture. It's whether this inspires action to save the next one. And the next one. And the next one.
I argued against sharing snuff films by killers seeking notoriety. What to publicize is key ethical issue but criterion isn't squeamishness.
