@mathewi It is. Leaders can't be coopted or killed (good) but tactical shifts are harder and collective identity (sometimes) more fleeting.

@zeynep: Yes, and I wonder whether because it is so much easier to join and get involved, it's also much easier to get un-involved -
@mathewi That, too, but that's always been true for movements. I think here, you can do things without having to force through organization.
