Informal survey! People who got infected and were able to test frequently during this recent Omicron wave. On what day did you stop testing positive? (Day 1=first symptoms or first positive, whichever sooner. If no symptoms, day of ve+ test). Please RT!🙏 Tests pics welcome!

Antigen. Not sure if anyone is getting daily/frequent PCR testing. Outside of very specialized settings, perhaps, wouldn’t seem like a good idea.https://twitter.com/k_stiglich/status/1477305672266141697 …

I’m interested in the result of this survey although it would probably be important to clarify wether this refers to antigen or pcr tests.

Also, if you tested positive with an at-home test. Did you report it anywhere?

Indeed. For this subset, I don’t mean you for this survey but likely small enough a group. Still, feel free to reply in the mentions.https://twitter.com/seanogallagher/status/1477308344683614209 …

In entertainment it’s not uncommon for those closest to talent (me, for example) to be PCR tested 3-5x a week. Of course it’s onsite and the equipment and testing personnel are part of the production.

The phrase "people who were able to test frequently" does imply a claim about testing. The form of your question implies that people who are able to test frequently should do so. You could have asked about "people who did test frequently".

I hope people aren’t doing such extreme mental gymnastics to over-interpret a simple question on a platform with character limits and no edits, and that people that invested in my non-opinion on that part read down the thread. 🤷‍♀️

I'm certainly not doing extreme mental gymnastics. It just jumped out at me immediately that you assumed in your question that anyone who is able to test frequently would be testing frequently. It seemed to me an odd and somewhat loaded assumption.

I wouldn't have mentioned it except that you subsequently claimed that you were making no implications about testing, which suggests to me that you weren't aware of your implicit assumption.

The main way that people convey implications like this one isn't by explicitly stating them, but by implying them in subtle ways that people just take for granted without thinking much about them.
