Queue for rapid tests. Too bad we have no system in this country that would take envelopes from a warehouse containing these tests and place it in designated cubbies that exist for every address, and even do this six days of the week! Need a blockchain solution, I think.https://twitter.com/ddiamond/status/1473695692153630731 …

Zeynep are you starting to come to the conclusion that in practice these technocratic solutions are worse than useless?

A fun thing I learned today when I checked my insurance plan’s reimbursement policy: they won’t cover the prophylactic rapid tests you can buy to do at-home. Doctor’s notes only! Which is cool, when we say they’re “free” it’s a bunch a fine print

Yikes. Not good :( Although our national health service has its own issues, one of the great things coming out of they have implemented is you can order a free pack of 7 LFTs, one per day per person, delivered free of charge. That queue for tests is mad

Similar here in the Boston area. Lines wrapping blocks for testing, almost all kits sold out

Yesterday I walked past a testing van that had no line at all. also there are some places that do require insurance but have open appointments all day long. it seems these testing lines are not evenly distributed.
