In case it’s not obvious, many places in the U.S. may run out of PCR testing capacity soon. I don’t think the fact that many vaccinated will test positive has sunk in. Current quarantine/isolation guidelines don’t fit an Omicron wave. I think we have a communication emergency.

Hope in one hand, spit in the other. Which one fills up faster? The CDC and Fauci statements this week removed any hope I had that a new strategy is in the works. Delayed release of comparative VE data from Moderna for at least another week, I don't get it.

So you have no idea what you want

I dunno "Expert guidance that takes into account the best of current knowledge on Omicron and provides a solid set of recommendations" is actually a much more sensible thing to want than to whatever set of measures some armchair internet epidemiologist might be proposing.

please, be the voice you are hoping to hear when it comes to advising the public about what's to come. you're a more effective communicator and leader regarding covid than any of our public health officials have been.

Suppose tomorrow you wake up and read exactly the announcement you hope to. What, specifically, does it say (besides “get vaccinated/boosted”)?. “Go back to masking and quarantine as though itʼs April 2020”? “Vaccinated people are fine as long as they donʼt need a hospital”?
