I got the first booster recently and even then I was pretty sure it was my last one. No more of that. But now I'm definitely sure it was my last one. We have great treatment options, further vaccination doesn't seem worth it.https://www.statnews.com/2021/12/14/pfizers-covid-pill-remains-89-effective-in-final-analysis-company-says/ …

Yeah exactly my question. Pfizer drug is great to have, say for immunocompromised but it is expensive, isn’t 100%, limited to high-risk patients and has way worse adverse reaction risks and dangers than vaccines.

Ok well maybe I will change my mind! I'll tell you I'm finding it very very difficult in the present information environment to feel like I can adequately assess risks of one course of action or another.

With my second shot I was out for a day and a half, sore, etc. It sucked and I was like, "maybe I don't do this anymore and just get COVID once a year and it's mild like allergies because there are drugs for it now." But again, I dunno.

I don’t think there’s any world where ~actually getting Covid~ is a milder outcome than the side-effects of the vaccine. Plus, of course, there are significant public-health positive externalities to getting boosted.

I worry a little bit about the heart stuff, frankly. I don't worry a lot about it, but I do worry a little bit. I get the shot, it knocks me out for a day and a half, and I think, "Hrm.. what am I doing to myself?" Probably this is anti-vax brainworms working on me tho.

I think what gives me pause if I knew my kids were 100% to get myocarditis or 100% likely to get covid and I had to pick, I’d go with the covid. At least based on what I know now. So the sane choice I think is to try to catch the knife of waiting until we can explain the cause.

I don’t want either, would take the myocarditis without thinking, if both were assured and the Covid was going to be a primary infection.

For a 4 year old tho? Right now I’m assuming heart inflammation is just a symptom of something we don’t quite fully understand, and I believe the CDC is on record confirming cases of heart damage (tho I’d need to dig)
