CMS will release additional facility-level data tomorrow. The coverage estimate is out of all fully vax nursing home residents, many but not all of whom are eligible for a booster. We estimate that right now, nearly 60% of residents due for a booster already received one. 2/6

A recent survey from the nonprofit LeadingAge showed that 91% of nursing home facilities have completed booster clinics. West Virginia and Maryland already completed the initial booster rollout for their nursing homes. 4/6

Generally, booster shots to seniors in nursing homes are outpacing booster shots to seniors. So we’re seeing strong progress and we’ll continue pushing to boost our most vulnerable. This week, CMS sent booster reminders to more than 14 million Medicare enrollees. 5/6

Thank you! I’m hearing from a lot of people that residence of retirement communities in assisted-living facilities aren’t always having an easy time scheduling a booster either. A big push *going to them* is probably the biggest bang for the buck effort now. Delta is also here.

In some states, people are reporting pharmacy schedules are full or the same problem as earlier: elderly living alone trying to manage online scheduling, asking for accounts or insurance information. Given age curves, waning, immune evasion, that just seems like a huge miss.
