Agree. I was skeptical in summer—especially since the early data was so confounded. But since then, long before Omicron, we had high-quality data strongly suggesting this is a three-dose primary series. (Happens with many vaccines!). I'm not sure "protect them from the burden" does as much good as "keep the disease from spreading further in the population". The latter (or a more concise version) is more to the point.

Please provide a link to the source of that table. Would be very handy to have at hand, as many people opposed solely to COVID vaccination simply do not believe that we vaccinate against other diseases that are less deadly in children and teens. Thanks.

If anyone is aware of a short essay fleshing out this table, I'd love to read it. I know for at least some of these the concern is for congenital defects when contracted in pregnancy, not death, so I'm not taking this comparison as gospel truth at face value.
